The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python!

Day 3 - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast we head to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the smaller but the most sought-after destination in Tanzania northern circuit. This national Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s densely populated African elephants’ herds, Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. We will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and do two exciting morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the tree-climbing lions. Late afternoon we will drive to Eileen’s Tree Inn, your home for the following 2 nights and from where to explore Ngorongoro crater. The Lodge is located on the eastern side of the rim with its own easy access to the crater. Enjoy dinner at the lodge.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater
It is an early start and after breakfast descend to the crater floor with your picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only.
Take a stroll on the rim of the Crater with your guide and relish sundowners with a sensational view.
