The Usambara Mountains are a mountain range in Northeast Tanzania, approximately 90 km long and ranging from 30 to 50 km in width. They are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, which stretch from Kenya through Tanzania, and are one of the world's Biodiversity hotspots. Located in between the Kilimanjaro Mountain and the Indian Ocean, this mountain range is easily accessible from the towns of Lushoto in the West, and Amani in the East. With stretches of protected lush, virgin tropical rainforests, the winding ways of climbing, and the great hiking opportunity in both West Usambara and the East Usambara are some of the best attraction of it. In comparison to the West, the East Usambara is closer to the coast and receives significantly the more rainfall which support to the biodiversity of plants to grow. A visit to the hamlets perched terrifyingly on vertical cliffs would be an awe-inspiring experience of those travelling here.
