Day 1: Arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport

On arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, you will be welcomed by the lodge’s team and transferred to Maqueda Lodge. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink while completing the check-in procedure.
Enjoy being surrounded by games freely roaming around the lodge as the rest of the day is at leisure to unwind before the next day’s Game drive in the Kruger National Park.
Maqueda Lodge is a Luxury Boutique Lodge that offers the highest standard of service in a tranquil exclusive private venue. Nestled in the heart of the Wild Frontier, bordering the Kruger National Park, this family-run lodge only accommodates 24 guests in plush and beautifully decorated surroundings. Its location means that the closest entrance to Kruger is a short 15-minute drive from the lodge. In addition, it is also ideally situated to enjoy day tours of the fascinating country of Swaziland as well as the famous Blyde River Canyon – part of the beautiful Panorama Route.

Day 2: Full Game Kruger National Park

Guests will depart early to enjoy an exciting full-day experience in the Kruger National Park. Depending on the season the game drive will depart either at 05h30 or 06h00. Packed Breakfast included.
Game drives are done in 4 X 4 open Safari Game Vehicles.

The Kruger National Park covers 19,633 square kilometres and is the largest game reserve in Africa. The Kruger Park spans 360 kilometres from north to south and 65 kilometres from west to east. The park is home to the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard) which often take centre stage. However, there are more than 147 species of mammals here; making this the most of any African country. For avid birdwatchers, this place can be simply described as pure heaven.
Enjoy Lunch (own account) in one of the famous Kruger Park restaurants.
Back to the lodge in the late afternoon – You will have enough time to freshen before. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks (own account) at the lodge bar discussing about the day’s sightings with fellow guests.
Enjoy a 3-course Dinner under the African stars.

Day 3: On the Safari in the Kruger National Park

Today is your second Full Day to further enjoy thrilling game drives in the Kruger National Park.
Kruger National Park is best known for its big game settings and large expanses of the wilderness; however, Kruger has a unique cultural and historical landscape and diversity, with well over 255 recorded archaeological sites ranging from the early Stone Age (roughly 1 million years ago) to various Iron Age settlements.
In addition to the big 5 game viewing, The Kruger National Park offers award-winning accommodation, smooth-running logistics, and some of Africa’s best trackers and guides.

Your qualified experienced guides will undoubtedly enhance the experience with their deep understanding of the bush and the movement and identification of animals and birds, the knowledge they will impart to you. You’ll not only relish the experience of being in the Kruger environment, but you’ll leave with gems of information you’d never have known before.
Lunch will be on your account at one of the Kruger National Park restaurants before continuing through the afternoon with the game drive.
Back to the lodge in the late afternoon – Freshen up before dinner.

Day 4: Kruger National Park – Cape Town

Today enjoy a Morning walking safari in Marloth Park Private reserve (depending on your departure time this walking safari can be converted into an afternoon walking safari on the day of arrival).
Back at the lodge and enjoy breakfast before completing the check-out procedures.
Transfer back to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to connect with your onward scheduled flight to Cape Town.
On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time you will still be able to catch the Ferry boat to Robben Island (own account) for a guided tour of the prison (now a museum) where Nelson Mandela was held captive as a political prisoner.

Day 5 - 7: Cape Town

This morning, a car hire will be delivered to your hotel, giving you the freedom to explore the “mother city” in your own space.
The following 4 days are dedicated to exploring Cape Town and its surroundings.
Suggestions of day tours and activities include the following (many of them can be done on a privately guided basis, as scheduled bus tours, or on your own, using a rental car):

– Day tour of Cape Point National Park, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. This is a scenic drive along the Cape Peninsula with opportunities to see seals at Hout Bay, penguins at Boulders Beach, baboons at Cape Point, and of course the spectacular coastline and scenery of the peninsula.
– Visit the top of Table Mountain by cableway, for the most spectacular views in Africa.
– Ferry trip to Robben Island, for a guided tour of the prison (now a museum) where Nelson Mandela was held captive as a political prisoner.
– Day tour of the scenic Cape Winelands, including wine tasting and cellar tour at some of South Africa’s top wine estates.
– Full day Walk to Freedom scheduled tour
– Whale watching in Hermanus, an hour east of Cape Town (in season only, June to November)
– Shark Cage Diving in Gangsbai
– Guided township tour and cultural experience
– Shopping, fine dining and entertainment at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, South Africa’s most visited destination.

Day 8: Cape Town – Victoria Falls

This morning after breakfast, you will bid farewell to Cape Town as you will be driving to Cape Town International Airport where you will drop your car rental before boarding your scheduled flight to Victoria Falls Airport (flight cost not included). On arrival there, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel, Cresta Sprayview, your base from which to explore Victoria Falls.

Cresta Sprayview is situated just 1.4 km from the Victoria Falls Rain Forest entrance and is considered the perfect gateway for adventure seekers exploring the resort town of Victoria Falls and its surrounds. When the Falls are in full flood, the spray from this majestic wonder is visible from the hotel, rising like a column of smoke. It is locally referred to as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” or the “Smoke that Thunders”. Set on eight acres of manicured grounds, the accommodation offers a tranquil oasis from which to enjoy all Victoria Falls has to offer. Alfresco dining and the large swimming pool make the hotel a relaxing retreat for families, international travellers and honeymooners.

The Cresta Sprayview Hotel is 20 minutes from the Victoria Falls International Airport and is one of the first hotels you encounter as you get into town. The hotel is ideally situated, within walking distance of the town of Victoria Falls, with its accompanying restaurants and curio markets and a short 10-minute walk to the falls themselves.
Set on eight acres of manicured grounds, the hotel offers a tranquil oasis from which to enjoy all Victoria Falls has to offer. Alfresco dining and the large swimming pool make the hotel a relaxing retreat for families, international travellers, and honeymooners. The hotel has recently been refurbished and opened to guests in August 2013. All the modern amenities such as satellite television, room service, conference facilities, a business centre, and Wi-Fi in public areas are available.

Depending on your arrival time, you may join the afternoon sunset cruise. The Zambezi cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the river. Guests may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippos, crocodiles, elephants and sometimes even rhinos in their natural habitat, as well as enjoy the many different bird species, there are great photo opportunities against the often-spectacular African sunsets.

Day 9 - 10: Explore Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls offers a plethora of activities from a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River to a helicopter flight over the falls as well as adrenaline activities such as bungee Jumping, ziplining off the historic Victoria Falls Bridge, white water rafting a leisurely canoe down the gorge …

Day 11: Victoria Falls – Departure

Today, your Southern Africa Exploration will come to an end. After a leisurely breakfast followed by check-out procedures, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport to board a flight for onward private arrangements.
